Marginalization has largely resulted from the Congress' vote bank politics played out over seven decades. You can't offer incentives to people on the basis of religion over a sustained period of time without isolating them from those who do not get that privilege and then put that very party responsible for this situation on a pedestal as the paragon of secularism. Doing that repeatedly has led to the current situation. And, now the leaders of that very part go temple hopping to woo the Hindu voters. Where is the secularism in these tactics. The author may hate the BJP, but, it's the very thinking of people like her that has led to the new scenario. Unfortunately, the Congress and it bhakts fail to realize their folly, but then, when has self introspection and the ability to absorb criticism and learn from it ever been the strength of the Congress Party?
