EVM security is perhaps comparable to the best in the world today. They are several rungs higher than the run the mill SSL or others.
You can not just re-task or reprogram it at your sweet will as creatures like Akhilesh Yadav accused EVM tampering in MUNICIPAL elections (wonder which Australian University gave admission to this moron).
There are several hardware features which guard tampering mu higher levels than say banking systems. The tragedy of INdia is more than half are anadis when it comes to computer literacy. So when a scoundrel gets on stage and accuses machine tampering, people suspect.
So, what about the BJPs repeated charge of EVMs being tampered in the 2009 LS election ?
Following the lead of L K Advani, who went first on record accusing the UPA govt, the BJP took up this charge big time and went all around talking about it as though they had just established the tampering !
And then, men like Rajeev Srinivasan took the cue and went further and further ahead in inventiveness by saying that the UPA tampered just enough machines to get to a reasonable majority alone so as not to raise suspicion !!
Of course, like Mayawati and others who raise the charge today, none in the BJP had even a whiff of proof for what they said !
And of course, in the opinion of the BJP, the people should believe that they got a govt of such doubtless integrity in the year 2014 that the very mention of EVM tampering by them should be regarded as an anti national act !!

That the dominant party (he meant the Congress; but in this case it is the BJP) does EVM tampering only to the extent of winning just enough to retain power at the centre !

I think India is under Anarchy, Electioneering is lost in INDIA, The ruling party is just conducting a exercise to show the world that it has come to power by elections but the fact is that they have decided to rule the nation by hook or crook.
no matter it is good they are ruling but let them come out openly and remove elections and reduce burden on exchequer atleast in the interest of the nation and for the future of our country

There are several security layers ( hardware level) in these devices. It is impossible for any one to tamper with the EVM even if one has physical access to it.
In India 'Bigger the lie , more people believe it'. That is in our blood. We never use rational side of our brains.
How can any one tamper EVM machine using bluetooth technology? When you hear things like this in Media you feel so helpless for being in a country with this kind of media.
EC has failed to instill faith upon the voters ever since political dispensation has changed. Why not use paper ballot system ? Everything can be hacked now. Nothing is full proof.
BJP has no other option but to win Gujrat by any means. There are lot at stake. If they lose i am pretty sure whosoever wins will open the Godhra riots investigation and then lot of people will be in deep trouble. So by hook or crook they are going to win it. And with full support from EC it will be an easy task for them .
