Alpha Design Technologies-W it competent for mfg. satellite!!!
by BKBohra on Aug 31, 2017 11:07 PM

The satellite launched today by ISRO IRNSS-1H, was built by a consortium led by Alpha Design Technologies(ADT), a defence equipment supplier from Bengaluru, over eight months. But the activity of the Company ADT as per their Memorandum of Association and information available on Net and ROC is as under:
Legal, accounting, book-keeping and auditing activities; tax consultancy; market research and public opinion polling; business and management consultancy.
I am unable to understand how this company can form/lead a consortium as a defence equipment supplier and manufacture a satellite for NAVIC(which is a system of seven satellites, powers India's home grown Global Positioning System).
Is it a shell Company?
Unfortunately this ISRO launch failed first time after successful 39 launches of PSLV by them. A great set back.

Go slow ISRO
by krushi pandit on Aug 31, 2017 09:36 PM

Perhaps , u r creating a traffic jam in the space , which might have ill effects on earth . So , go slow
launch a satellite only if its really unique in design and application, which were not addressed by the previous ones . Dont launch for records , or financial benefits . Hope Govt is not setting any target for ISRO wrt out sourcing !!

What I saw actually on DD News
by girish on Aug 31, 2017 08:54 PM

I don't agree with the reasons given here for failure. In fact what I saw on DD news - before it stopped the telecast of the event - was that the vehicle started drifting away from its path before 4th stage ignition. The officer as the control station then signaled the camera man of DD news who then moved the camera away from the screen showing the trajectory of the rocket.I hope the truth comes out.
Being in industry I know how a government department functions when it comes to interaction with an entity in private sector. I hope you understand what I mean !!
