Oh, just get on a train and travel !

You will find budget hotels in most locations. But you should also be ready to deal frequently (not always, thankfully) with dirty rooms and dirtier toilets.

For instance, just visit Hampi (preferably in the winter season) and spend a couple of days walking around and taking in the sights. You will be left stunned and thinking deeply about those long gone ages !

Its all talk without any actions. Can she donate 1% of her wealth to improve the situation of these places ?

It is not her job really to maintain monuments. That is the job of the ASI and by extension, the govt.

And for the ASI to maintain all monuments properly, it requires adequate funding, dedicated professionals and an administration free of corruption !

None of these three inputs are available adequately enough !

She has certainly donated 1% of her wealth for such causes. When she speaks proudly about our rich monuments, it means a lot and an eye opener for all concerned.

I see a lot of negative characters these days. Do nothing but criticize everything is the motto of their lives
