by V Nagarajan on Aug 25, 2017 08:54 AM  | Hide replies

70% of Indians are living a life of poverty malnutrition and deprivation. What will they do with right to individual privacy. They have nothing to hide except their tattered cloths?Let us not waste precious SC time on frivolous things.

Have black money ?

No need to hide it ! You can get it laundered provided your black wealth is huge !

Take lessons from Gautam Adani, the biggest tax evader now in India !

He is so sophisticated in his ways (he uses over-invoicing of his imports to send his profits abroad and P notes to bring it back as investments thus evading taxes to the tune of thousands of crores in a single operation) !

He has no need to hide his black money at all from the IT dept ! He gets it laundered using the P note loop hole and proudly declares it to the IT dept !!

Oh, of course, to succeed in such big operations, you have to donate very liberally to the BJP election campaign fund ! But there would be no need to worry at all. Such donations need to be only a fraction of the amounts evaded in tax !

It is really a win win situation for the party in power as well as big tax evaders !

we are willing to share all our information in our job application with our employer.but when it comes to sharing info with Government our privacy is affected. the nine wise men need to be saluted for their extraordinarily superior wisdom.

it goes beyond the information shared in the job application. that is why people are worried. now that right to privacy is fundamental, the 'reasonable restrictions' clause will decide how much information the state can extract from criminals or egalitarian thugs like those who support 'Kashmir ki Azadi' or 'Afzal Guru and Maqbul Bhatt tum mahaan ho' etc. when people die of lack of oxygen supply to patients in hospitals or somebody not sharing info on repair of railtrack and thereby causing death of scores of people, intellectual bulls want to keep doing things privately. the SC judges also were moved by the strong arguments of the private sultans. mera bharat mahaan.

Why should not government know about individuals?
People privately go to abroad and when they face any difficulty there, they need government help. They should help themself without Govt. HELP.. that time they remember GOVT?

It is because, govt unable establish its credibility, that it will not misuse those individuals data. If govt could prove its credibility, then sharing details with it is not a problem.

Then tell me how the court/ any governing body has the right to furnish my personal data to avail any service? Why yoh have given your personal data to your employer? Privacy us your fundamental right, then why you are coming out of your home to expose yourselves? Just answer me your double standard theory.
