by R ponnabalam on Aug 12, 2017 01:22 PM

The Govt.of India you have no right or authority to question the Indianness of those Indians who fight alongside ISIS and the like,Indianness ,To every Indian what he defines is Indianness. To some Indians stone pelting stone on armed forces- men by girls in the street is indianness .To some not allowing right opinions to be displayed is Indianness.R.PONNAMBALAM

ONLY HINDUS BELIEVE IN PLURALISM
by parmanand khialani on Aug 11, 2017 01:48 PM

"Because we are a plural society that for centuries, not for seventy years, has lived in a certain ambience of acceptance"
Yes, we as a plural society extended from Myanmar to North West Frontier Province till such time that some people rooted for 'Caliphate' or rule of Caliph. Our civilization lost large territory to such rule of Caliph like Pakistan and Bangladesh. Rise of rule of Caliph in these territories was accompanied by decimation of all those people who believed in pluralism, in most brutal manner. Samples of this brutalism can be seen even today in actions of ISIS.

Why we had Mughal rule
by ST on Aug 11, 2017 01:27 PM  | Hide replies

1000 years back we interfered in other countries which led them to become angry and they invaded us as we were adamant in interfering in other peoples problems rather than our own problems

Tiolets are discovered by Prime minister and member of RSS and he was a scientist of tiolets

AAdhar card pan card and GST also was discovered by this person

Dokalam also belongs to India and not to Bhutan

All elections will be won by RSS and entire opossition will be eliminated one day

All these problems are creation of RSS

Everyday a new problem and a new issue

One problem ends antother is choosen to keep people confused and continue support for RSS and their hoodlums

sometimes problems in Rajya sabha elections sometimes problems in kargil then kashmir then black money then white money then cleaninensess then endless list of problems we never had these before

soemtimes national anthem sometimes support for illegal occupation of Chinese lands

British rule was golden era in Indian History!
by MISSIONARY on Aug 11, 2017 11:34 AM  | Hide replies

British rule was golden era in Indian History!

1. British unified over 550 princely states into a single entity.
2. They ended Moslem domination in India and liberated Hinddus from 1000-year long subjugation that eventually led to the rise of Hinddu intellectual class who could eventually fight for the freedom of India.
3. British built excellent dams, bridges, railways, roads, etc which unheard in the rest of Asia (during 19th century).
4. British opened many universities and colleges in India, which helped Hinddus to rise as an intellectual class.
5. British introduced English helped India to become a software superpower in the world today.
6. British rule considerably weakened the barbaric caste-system, even though remnants of the system remain. Even superstitions decreased to a great extent.
7. Due to better medical services, death rate dropped and life-span increased.
8. Railways, postal services, modern education, English medicine, etc rapidly improved the standards and quality of life.
9. HHindus were living under complete subjugation of Mozlems. British rule gave great religious freedom to HHindus
10. British rule altogether gave a new direction to Indians who were mired in ignorance, superstitions, caste-barbarity and opened an era of modern civilization in India.

Earlier I wrote;it got blocked. There has been no literature- development in ANY INDIAN LANGUAGE like SANSKRIT ,KANOJI OF THE PAST in N.India during Mughl rule. They brought Farzi and then URDUN>URDU in place of Indian languages.Hindus in Mughul period are the only people in the world who had been taxed separately to practice their religious faith .There are good temples in S,India and Western India with substantial wealth even after the British rule.BUt there is hardly any temple in North India comparable to these big Temples .The British did proselytize. But the proselytization under the Mughals was so severe that in 1947 India was having the biggest population of Muslims in the world. This is just a dispassionate view of India's life under one invader clan and another colonizer R.Ponnambalam

I expressed my opinion politely without telling any lies.Wrote that post Industrial Revolution the rule of Britain worked in ways utilising that revolution. It is true that Indians were under subjugation by Muslim for some 700 yrs. North India lost day to day use of their Sanskrit language, temples unlike in South or Western India vanished in North India. But here there is no freedom of expression.I am an ordinary Indian. Our rediff blocks my opinionR.Ponnambalam

FRUSTRATED

Vice President of the Nation for 10 years.
What is his own contribution for the well being of the very people whom he is supposedly supporting?
Speaking such language on the last day of his Office - only confirms his own Frustrationsand 'clinging on to the chair' ambitions. Having served as the VP (good or bad) it was in his own interests to have left office with respect - giving respect to all and getting respect from all. His choosing controversy to self respect - only confirms - his Political greediness.

He was not fit to be a Vice President of the country. His selection was made by the Congress only because he comes from a minority community and nothing else. While leaving the post he has shown his true colours.
