Karan Thapar is as bias as Rajdeep sardesai and like minded others who are jealous of the current government as they dont get any importance from them. Karan Thapar who consider himself to be the most intelligent person of the universe is the worst of all. Why he should ask Vice president Ansari if Prime Minister Modi had wished him on his last three birthdays or not. what type of cheap journalists this Karan thapar is.

but he was served as bureaucratic and ambassador to different countries. He is not a politicians to contest election. Some members are also not fit to contest election but they are entering back door it will OK to you either parties. Madam Irani is a minister of important port polio and never win the election but come to back door. If constitution changed no RS should be honoured any ministerial birth only those who are elected members will get ministerial birth. President Vice President never contested election but he is a member of RS for many occasions and having ministerial birth as well as now he is VP. What i want to say your knowledge is very little and you are commenting is against other persons those who are not in BJP, but general we have to comment what exactly in the articles and what is our suitable comments. critize is good improve their capability and not every person and every matter. Please improve yourself and study the politcs. please grow up to comments each and every matter.

Let me correct you, Mr Vir. At the incident you are referring to, the President who was present, alone was supposed to stand up for salute....none else. This was explained by the Protocol Officer. Sad that anonymity of social media allows uninformed comments like yours.

You forgot to complete saying what happened on that day !
Only the President and the 3 service chiefs are protocol bound to salute the flag during the anthem at the Republic day ceremonies while all others on the dais are bound by the same protocol to stand in rapt attention without saluting. The vice President knew this, the President knew this, the 3 service chiefs knew this, even the chief guest (President Obama) was briefed by his aides and knew this and every other dignitary except one on the large dais knew this and abided by protocol.
The only exception who was ignorant about this protocol was the prime minister of the country, Narendra Modi !
Standing in his fancy head gear and saluting the flag, the komaaaali looked every bit the clown he really is !!

I know the people (especially politicians and bureaucrats) who salutes the flag but do immense corruption, looting and compromising with the development and growth of country when there is NO under table percentage assured to them. Not sure whether he (Mr Ansari) saluted or not but at least he has been honest with the country whatever responsibility he has been assigned. How saying and body actioning can be measure of Nationalism and not the deeds.
