even after 70 years of independence, our own Indian politicians loot our own land, and making people more poor. All the wealth goes to these politicians and corporates.

MODERN INDIA FUEL/FOOD USAGE
by suresh on Aug 11, 2017 04:10 PM  | Hide replies

Its the time to start campaigning for the new topic FUEL/FOOD bachao...
Elder/younger people has to be educated very clearly of the consequences of wasting fuel/food,which causes an imbalance of demand vs supply.Apart from this it also creates atmospheric pollution,no need of explaining consequences as already all are aware of that, but the thing is to be reminded gently through tvs, news papers without expecting any profits...then food one suffers from indigestion ,other die from starving..

South India was not under the control of King Ashoka - Till British it has been ruled by their kings - not even by Aurangazeb who had been the biggest emperor.

Your comment is only partially true. The northern part of South India was under the control of Ashoka and, later, Aurangzeb.

British rule was golden era in Indian History!
by MISSIONARY on Aug 10, 2017 12:03 PM  | Hide replies

British rule was golden era in Indian History!

1. British unified over 550 princely states into a single entity.
2. They ended Moslem domination in India and liberated Hinddus from 1000-year long subjugation that eventually led to the rise of Hinddu intellectual class who could eventually fight for the freedom of India.
3. British built excellent dams, bridges, railways, roads, etc which unheard in the rest of Asia (during 19th century).
4. British opened many universities and colleges in India, which helped Hinddus to rise as an intellectual class.
5. British introduced English helped India to become a software superpower in the world today.
6. British rule considerably weakened the barbaric caste-system, even though remnants of the system remain. Even superstitions decreased to a great extent.
7. Due to better medical services, death rate dropped and life-span increased.
8. Railways, postal services, modern education, English medicine, etc rapidly improved the standards and quality of life.
9. HHindus were living under complete subjugation of Mozlems. British rule gave great religious freedom to HHindus
10. British rule altogether gave a new direction to Indians who were mired in ignorance, superstitions, caste-barbarity and opened an era of modern civilization in India.

The midwife, however, had dirty intention the 550 princely states will so remain thus balkanisation of the Indian sub-continent.

They helped give birth to a perpetual enemy by dissecting Bharatvarsh.

It was Sardar who stitched together the Bharatvarsh.

It was Jawahar who left behind him the legacy of J&K and 370.

British demonstrated how to rule, but the neo-british politicians grossly misruled.

What kind of fake missionary are you? selling out your mother land to colonizers. Britishers were responsible for many famines mainly Bengal famine and Madras famine. All the trains were taking away our agricultural product for their industrialization. There was even a law that was recently repealed that said : Any treasure found beneath the indian soil belongs to the queen. They were draconian and racist. People in punjab were made to crawl through the streets after the massacre at JallianWallah Bagh. You call them saviours shame on you.

1) British stole money and various artifacts from us. We still are waiting for return of Kohinoor and countless other artifacts by these thieves.
2)Arrogant politicians like Churchill left thousands of people die due to famine. The overrated, puppet and good for nothing PM like him had called Gandhi as naked fakir. Indians had to suffer and bear such undeserving rulers.
3)British destroyed Indian industry to promote their local industries. May be this is what they call as industrial revolution after all.
4)British divided India into India and Pakistan, thereby destabilising the region. They are directly responsible for deaths of millions of people during partition.
5)British used the money stolen from India to fill their treasures in England.
6)They made Indians slaves at ideological level. Indians started treating white skins as Gods. Indians started preferring materialistic and hopeless western culture by abandoning eastern culture.
7)High taxation: India under British rule struggled with high taxation rules which were almost impossible for craftsmen to pay to lead to the all time decline of Indian handicrafts which was world famous before Britisher’s invasion to India.
8)

What is worse ?
-The British mistreating Indians or the Indians mistreating India and its people.
- The British stealing from Indians or Indians stealing even more !

The quality of the infrastructure built by the Indians hardly measure up to what the British built for India.
It's a huge shame that the inferiority complex developed through ages due to our inability to meet the challenges in History, do not render us capable of learning the bitter lessons and getting on from there with honest purpose.

That's the curse of our culture and with the kind of comments here and on Social Media we are not letting us shed our baggage and getting on with it any soon !

The more we speak the less we act or action !! That's the reality !A prosperous land let down by its inhabitants ? Jai Hind

I read somewhere that British soldiers used to dress like Pathans but still got shot because they walked differently!
