The social maladies in some parts of the country are more damagingly pronounced.Our Govt. and Administrations have not addressed it and are not addressing it.Souls like A Narayana Guru, Mahatma Phule or a Rough talking E.V.R. had not graced these places to bring about social upliftment . At lease the Govt. and some well meaning people should come forward to start eradicating caste(ie traditional work or trade) driven idiosyncrasies.Then only these can be eradicated,Otherwise it is sheer politics R.Ponnambalam
