Full credit yo Varun Gandhi for speaking what the public thinks regarding the wages of M.Ps,they are overpaid and also live a luxurious life even after they have lost an election by way of pensions and perks.Hop he sticks to his stand.
Modi and Shah have been found wanting on certain issues like illegal immigration, controlling illegal conversions, political, judicial police and labor reforms.
He is digging his own grave, the super corrupt MPs will never allow him to have his way, the criminals of parliament who have given the raise to themselves without any opposition will have none of this, heinous BJP/RSS will never accept him and will soon throw him out into oblivion,
There should not be any pay hike to the MPs or MLAs,MLCs etc. they are already paid more without a requirement for basic qualification etc. The public representatives be allowed pay hike only after a people referendum, if public supports the pay hike they should get and if not they shouldn't. They are not the master of their own.There must be some system of pay hike of public servants & People representatives

Forget any Pay hike. None of the MPs, MLAs & Ministers deserve whatever Pay & allowances they are drawing. Their Salaries & perks must be linked to the Development, they can show in their Constituencies which must be also acceptable to the people of that Constituency. Everyone knows all these Public Representatives do is roam around free, all over the Country on Govt money & enjoy and ALSO MAKE ILLEGAL TONS OF MONEY IN THE BARGAIN. This is confirmed by the IT raids on MPs & MLAs.
Varun Gandhi will be a loner for such requests. This is the most covetted posiion in the country with huge salary, perks, free flights and rail travels several times in a month, free palatial residences in posh areas, Vehicle with driver, etc etc.

The salary of an MP should be fixed and declared and displayed prominently in each Manifesto of political parties at the time of the General Election, valid for 5 years. Let the people choose/decide. No revision in between. Those who want to fight election,with the salary/perks announced, or may not contest election.
Let each parliamentarian be allowed to withdraw salary as they wish ...but they must work sincerely. Moreover,they have immense power to generate income as they decide
