Lalu and clan had involved themselves in other unlawful activities too. Soil scam by Tej Pratap Yadav, rise of Sand mafia with Lalu's patronage, increase in crime by goons close to RJD is not what gets highlighted as much. Nitish is one person who has a genuine dream for Bihar being one of the best states of India, a tough one to execute where cast and religion are the deciding factors even today.
Nitish Kumar would have probably done right by breaking away from the alliance, but he should have called for elections. Period ! He knows the caste arithmetic won't work out.
It is amusing why the author cannot take the other columnists head-on if they are wrong ! Too many disclaimers - I like you, but.. - before differing with the opinions. Life is hardly like that.
