P.M.Bhargava, Abraham Kovoor and Sanal Edamaraku are three rationalists who (each separately) challenged Sathya Sai Baba to perform his "miracles" in controlled conditions under the scrutiny of scientists. Baba did not accept the challenge. Kovoor and Bhargava are dead and Sanal lives in Finland in exile. Despite the lack of response from the miracle makers, these rationalists gave plausible explanations to incidents which seemed to be miracles and helped in the development of scientific temper among a few.
