A few steps can clean politics from the influence of money and muscles as discussed in some different forums. Those are :
1.There should be ban on public campaigning for vote once election is declared. 2.No public meeting with use of loud speaker. 3.No poster , hoarding, wall painting etc. 4.Only advertisement in newspaper. 5.Paid advertisement, speech, discussion in radio or TV, Mobile Whatsup etc 6.Only those will be declared who win more than 50%. 7. Repolls between first and runners up in case of the first get less than 50%.
And north Indian dunces fall for whatever he says !
Foolish and ignorant listeners depend instinctively on the tone and tenor of the speaker rather than on verifiable facts or plausible programs/policies uttered by him to decide whether he is convincing enough. Foolish and ignorant listeners depend instinctively on rabble rousing by the speaker rather than on whether he addresses their core concerns effectively enough !
And so they have gifted themselves with even more criminals and wayside thieves as their representatives than ever before !
Majority of politicians in India are: 1. Kisan leaders-never worked in agriculture but belong to village and normally lawyers. 2. Student leaders-master in arranging Dharnas, etc., 3. Union leaders-master in strikes etc., 4. Lawyers, teachers etc.,-having lesser work and time to spend in politics. 5 Goondas- for political and legal safety. Our system permits such people to contest election irrespective of their age, qualification, genuine cases with them etc., Political reform is the only answer.
To malign and sell your book. Yes, issues are there...feel free to try and bring a change to this huge country in an idealistic manner, trust me you will forget your literary skills.
