Instead of spending over Rs.5000Cr on Shivaji Maharaj's statue, write off the farmers loan with that money. Both, the Kisans & the Chattrapati will be happier for it.

It is because of 2 decade neglect started by MNS policy
by SUBRAMANIAN VANJIAPPAN on Apr 23, 2017 02:58 PM

It is known reason that agri was killed by financial terrorists trios Montek MNS and their brought up PC. joined with crony capitalists and corrupt netas made neglecting of the core sector Agri in half the way. This made more than 400000 farmer suicides and orphaned 4 lakh families . no war killed such numbers no famine killed such numbers . The un viable farm income is the reason and govt's liberal imports of food items are the main reasons. no dams no canals no agri infra created during the MNS era. non taking of agri is treated as reformist attitude and this blind policy makers like jeitly the failed minister in modi govt do the same mistake of neglecting farm sector. who will save us. Read the article published in rediff ' Our farmers dies in the field while country is rejoicing: for more

when the number of farmer suicides are highest in maharashtra and central india then what was the need for UP govt to excuse their loans and put additional burden on taxpayers. the root cause of the loan trap is not yet found .

After opening

the proverbial Pandoras box by promising to waive farmers loans completely in U.P to win the elections there, komaaaaali Modi is now stuck with determined demands from farmers from other regions for similar waivers !

He is stuck exactly like the monkey that had its textes clamped tight by the two halves of a half sawn log when it squatted on it and removed the peg that was driven into it !

The komaaaaali has already surrendered a large portion of state revenue (as well as revenue land) to rapacious thieves such as Gautam Adani in return for big kickbacks to finance the most expensive election campaigns in Indias history the BJP has been conducting over the past decade.

This has left the state of govt revenue in a more precarious condition than it ever was in before.

From where can the komaaaaali get the funds needed to honour his hasty promise to the U.P farmers, leave alone make fresh promises to other farmers ??
