yes Govt should help farmers in ease of doing business just like they do it for corporates..during dry monsoons Govt should own these losses instead of waiving it later with additional interests from bankers before it is subject to higher interest rates and make it as an election gimick...why farmers should be at the mercy of govts..by defaul there should be a mechanism to avoid such things. also Govts should encorage farmers and farming communities from the scratch like they do it for businesses and business men...paytm is an example of business gflourishing nd rupay and all bankers minting money

INSTEAD OF MAKING SUCH ATROCIOUS COMMENTS ON POOR FARMERS SITTING IN YOUR AC ROOM JUST BURN YOUR TONGUE. THEY WANT TO WORK HARD AND EARN MONEY BUT THE NATURE IS NOT HELPING THEM SO WHY NOT THE GOVT. HELP THEM.
Doing suicide is not easy do not blame farmer real reason is they do not have water irrigation facility to water their crop then crop get failed after investing too much money taken on loan only option left to do suicide. If farmer will do suicide who will run their family one time suicide to waive off loan cannot run their family they also knows not a solution. Government failed to give them irrigation facility and other financial assistance to develop farmer. other professions has problems and nothing can be compared to farmers and farming communities problems in India...shortly we will have to beg third world countries for food
Most of these suicides are because of the regressive social norms of dowry and other problems like addictions and gambling. Farmers take loans and spend it on marriage of their daughter and dowry. Also they overspend because they want to show off. They know that the loan will get written off if they commit suicide. As a result, it is taxpayer's money that is being used for their dowry and overspending. Stop that first and suicides will automatically stop.

Many farmers who have committed suicide do not even have farming as their primary source of income. It is a fact that the loan money is used for dowry and weddings in many cases. Farmers value their daughter's marriages more than their own lives. Once the daughters are married off, farmer's lives don't matter in their own eyes. Irrigation is a problem nationwide. But this trend of loan for dowry is prominent in certain parts and only in those parts you see higher instances of suicides.

True... Small n marginal farmers never can pay their debts out of Agri Income...even moonsonon is good...because of small farm....every year you can not waive their loans...many farmers are availing loan even they are not doing farming on their land n spend money and do not repay.. Most of the farmers are not inclined to pay loans in anticipation of waiver...
