Meeting the President
by K Bhaskaran on Apr 15, 2017 09:52 AM

A futile exercise by the Opposition. They very know that at the end of his term, the President will not venture into any controversy gainst the BJP Government whatever they do. The NDA with Modi-Shah a the head will do anything to sustain their lead. But what will happen should they lose in the next general election, when the vendetta politics will retaliate with heavy consequences. (I am not hopeful that Rediff will dare to publish this message)

Opposition's Phobia on democracy
by praveen Aggrawal on Apr 13, 2017 05:57 PM  | Hide replies

Congress ruled our Country since over six decades. It is their firm belief that it is only Congress party which could protect democracy in our country. Since they are out of power, therefore Indian democracy now faces real threat of extinction.

Opposition listed everything when they met the president. What about law makers taking law in to their own hands (AI episode)?

Constitution
by arungopal agarwal on Apr 13, 2017 10:41 AM

What new generation will do with such constitution where govt. servants at grass root level are not accountable and take bribe for every work, politicians are spreading hate for their vote bank, judges and police could not win the confidence of masses in last 70 years.
Even after 70 years, article 370 is still in Kashmir, reservation could not serve the purpose of bringing only needy and deprived.

Prez meeting
by Parthasarathy Krishna on Apr 13, 2017 09:53 AM  | Hide replies

Instead of shutting down the RS and LS time these oppos conduct the sessions. Going to prez with vague intolerance agenda complaint onnBJP is not going help. There's no such major issues except isolated incidents that warrant. What's the state gives law n order doing? Cong govt in Karnataka n Punjab and admk govt in TN are having a ball!! Sure this Cong initiated meeting with prez is a dumb Squibb and the likes of Raja n Yechury joining this has given a blur?

Going to the Prez.
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Apr 13, 2017 08:52 AM

Meeting the President may be OK for the publicity, but more effective will be if the Congress and others approach the Courts regarding some of the draconian amendments that have been passed in the guise of Money Bills. COngress especially has been waek in using the judicial route to stop the NDA in its tracks.

“Our nonverbals govern how other people think and feel about us” - Amy Cuddy. Mr Rahul Gandhi’s armed cross at chest and legs stretched out [only one with this pose in the front row] could give even Princeton nightmares in their famed study of body-language!
