Tulips originated from India. Reached Europe via Turkey (Istanbul) 450 - 500 years ago from Lower Himalayas in India. Govt of India, State Govt of Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakand, Uttar Pradesh should apply for GI.
Govt should help these tulip flower growers of J&K State to export these flowers, to get good earning to the growers and to our country, a good foreign exchange.
