Any short conflict can be equally damaging to both countries. And in a longer one, Pak will not survive to see the day. Apart from that, Chine will stand by Pak, while the West will back India. Other non offensive options can be to boycott Pak internationally and put curbs on exports to that country.

...attack them and face embargo by US led west and China. Let the people in organizations that depend on international trade loose jobs, let the economy collapse and let the Govt. show courage to hike tax to cover revenue lost by trade and for war expenses. It's just more soldiers and civilians who will be dying. Why should we care? Avery easy decision.
unless we have moles inside the pak defense forces we will not be able to succeed in the guerilla war against pak, the statements of pak PM clearly shows that they are not interested in the dialogue process with india but want to keep the terror base alive and keep hitting india because they want to take over the indian par of Kashmir which will help them in many ways like the water supply of ganga originates from there and most advantageous point for defense proximity to china and next to get on to Nepal over a period of time and keep building greater pak with help of china.

Everyone can analyse .. But when asked what you want the Govt to do now , he says nothing ..Everyone knows that we are corrupt nation with caste , religion divisions .. How do we stop it .. No one answers that
Nothing concrete. Even while answering the last question Mr. Laxman asked for concrete strategic suggestions to deal with Pak currently.....but what Mr Sahni does....gives laundry list of problems in Indian systems which can be copy pasted anywhere. Absolute nonsense. How these people become strategic thinkers? I challenge to show me any small bit of strategy in any of his answers.

the full topic is just absurd. for the attack on uri camp and loss of 18 jawans need not attack pak till now is a wise decision. the nation should first think that why in such a sensitive place jawans are still staying in tents. shame on our parts. then in india in kashmir only one rule that is is indian rule. after curfew anybody comming out folk them. people will not dare to come out.
