The chances of natural disaster striking are less but man made disasters are much more because of we are working more less than using naturals by mother earth, just like wounds without treatment,Now we in India developing our facilities without thinking result. In 2000 We saw cyclone in odisha ,There are so many departments look after these crises but not in grass root cause only in mid level progress as per my experience there are funds available but nobody wants to take responsibility continuously. We have to take precautions from pre disasters . Now a days india's developments are becoming speedy daily ton and tons of cutting of soil from hills abundantly ,cutting of trees so attacks of natural disaster like speedy air converted in to storm if we care every connected issues continuously, then attack look like less because plants trees 100%save us slow down the speed 120 to - level. Nobody is interested to discuss these issues seriously except thinkers ,this should be on ground remedial process why not funded by UNO in priority list . All the people are only using naturals but not given any type of mass message to publically continuously.
umhhh, who cares, let millions die, even than the response would be as per the political remifications, i.e. is it going to affect elections, NO, forget it, MAY BE, some response, not for relief but for PR to do image damage control, DEFINITELY YES, do the work on war footing to do some relief & 90% of energy on PR activity make people believe that we are working, start diverting attention from the incident...!! I was sure india will never ever develop & how right I was..!!
Fake or right, it is an alert. How we should be ready to face a calamity if it strikes is our job; our preparedness is most important. The subject is taking a different angle. Prime Minister is one person - policy makers are many : we must understand. No need to blame the PM. Results of good policies always come slowly. As one friend already said there are many areas we must take care. We Indians, as a Society, are negligent towards Mother Nature. Which other countries are more prone to a disaster is secondary - our primary responsibility is to protect our Mother Earth and Nature. Anyhow it is a caution from UN and we must do our job as individuals and as a Society.
Truly, those countries bound by water from all sides or having long sea coast are more prone to natural disasters, it is believed. It is really difficult and humanly impossible to prevent such calamity but we can stop or eliminate the damage we are causing. We have to mind it not to become subjects of serious disasters.

every year disasters have been striking India, epidemic drought flood earthquake landslide tsunami and volcano.Its not only rural or desert or mountainous areas even urban areas affected
