knows very well about the Indian Railways is that it is now the only major railway in the world that still dumps human waste onto the tracks !

Even Pakistan Railways (that is not so small after all in terms of track length) found the resources long ago to switch completely to the trap, store and discharge system for its passengers waste !

Oh, what a horrendous shame this fact ought to be !

The Great Indian Railway

It is good that naming of train is not much politicized so far else in India and particularly in few states naming anything is under political or some section of people’s pressure. From street name to airport everything goes with political color & benefit. Hopefully railway will never succumb to such notorious practice. Saraighat Express is really a good name to have for that train as the train just passes thro’ the Battle of Saraighat on Brahmaputra near Guwahati. It’s a proud history of India that Ahom army General Lachit Borphukan defeated Mughal at Saraighat and never allowed Mughal to enter in Assam. Similarly Chennai Howrah Mail (earlier Madras Mail) is one of the oldest trains in India started by British. Train is always a favorite spot of romance not only for Hindi movie but also for all regional language movies. I suppose it is true up to some extent in real life too. No doubt train is also the great Indian unity.
