There is a reason why the govt went public about surgical strikes. Uri Attack was not acceptable. It had put the army on low morale. Today Indian forces are confident about their powers and have shown the world that they are not pushovers. Respect for the country and respect for the armed forces must be high on every Indians heart.
When our opposition parties question the credibility of our government and army, how does one assure the nation of 1.2billion? By keeping it secret like nothing happened and let down the morale of people or just inform them and boost their morale? I think Modi did the right thing! and I dont see any politics. If the opposition had kept quiet, then this news would not have become public!
I am always very proud on our solders. But not happy with use of it for politics. Govt should have maintain some secrecy for our Army. It is vey ridiculous that BJP ministers are using it for politics benefit.

No wrong in claiming what good they have done to nation rather than no claiming all scams that piled up tons of money in foreign accounts or pumped into son in law's business.

One simple question to you guys...Why did the Congress hide the Truth of Ishrat jahan? The party whose two leaders go to Pakistan and say remove the current government and give us the opportunity, surely our relations will improve...Do you expect from these Hijdas, a surgical strike? If they proclaim that then they should be answerable to Saurabh Kalia's execution too...
