Situation has changed since 1985-Cohen and Zia era...
by mant Azad on Oct 02, 2016 11:47 AM

Mr Gutta knows this but his Commi ideology prevents him from presenting a fair transparent view of the Paki army....

In this era Pakistan was the blue eyed boy of the US and had admiration from the US analysts like Cohen...

It was a propaganda that was unleashed to bolster Paki against sov block which was handled in a partisan manner by many eminent analysts...

It is a fact that Paki army, where most of the officers belong to the punjabi paki stock still retain feudal mindset and believe in the glory of Mughal Era..

To go a step further even Paki Intellectuals hark back to the glory of golden mughal era when they meet their ilk from India... Needless to add that both these groups especially the Indian Psuedo Intellectuals/liberals/commies represent vested interests..

Paki army is anything but professional as it still has feudal mindset and its generals are involved in real estate, cement, steel rerolling etc..

Failure is due to rich services personnel in influential positions, the democratic leaders are from rich background, navaz, Imran, Benazir family! Corruption And the religion which is mixing up with the poor lot only!!

What are the differences?
by leela nagarajan on Oct 02, 2016 10:13 AM  | Hide replies

IA is fighting for its Nation.
PA is fighting to stay in power and get rich.
India has a disciplined Army.
Pakisthan Army has a Nation.
Here the PM decides.
There the PM gets to know as to what the Army had done from the media.

Pakistan
by Subrata Bhaumik on Oct 02, 2016 09:20 AM

Trouble with Pakistan is and I am not distinguishing between Civilian Government and the Army they do not have faith in themselves. They are dependent on China, USA, Russia etc, for their self-esteem. Now overall impression is that terror groups and Jihadis are ruling the country. What a tragedy. Was it Jinnah's dream when he created Pakistan?

Pragmatism needed
by Ramesh Joshi on Oct 02, 2016 09:09 AM

Unless a General with pragmatism towards stability and development of Pakistan heads the army, Pakistan will find it difficult to extricate from the mess created by army sponsored jihadis.

Whatever adjectives you may use for Pak army. but you can't ignore the assessment of Cohen about Pak army that they are very efficient.

As an enemy of theirs, I've to recheck the assessment-
4 Pak soldiers/terrorists killed 19 Indian soldiers when the latter were sleeping in their tents; so their strike ratio is 1:5.

In the best ever 'surgical strike' by Indian commandos, 250 killed 40 pak soldiers/terrorists.

What is the strike ratio?

If you appraise the efficiency of our defence system, we always get shocking surprises by Pak terrorists/soldiers; whether its Mumbai attack, Parliament attack and recent ones- Pathankot and Uri.

There is something seriously wrong with our defense system, we must introspect the same on urgent basis.

Now Bhakts can't put blame on 'reservation system'.

My dear Yadav, terrorists come to India to get killed, go to heaven and enjoy 72 virgins.Indian commandos went there to do the job and return safely. That makes the difference. If an Indian Jawan dies across the border, our country want to claim the body and cremate it with military honours. Hundreds of Pakistan soldiers were killed in Kargil and Pakistan refused to take back their bodies. So please dont compare the two.

Dear Mr Narayanan, you are still far distant from my observations.

You are talking like a coward
You are using same grammer and language what your fore fathers had done during Prithviraj Days.

When you go to a battlefield, you don't plan to come back alive, instead, you plan to inflict max damage on your enemies.

This is the difference b/w pak and ours.

You must recruit officers and Jawan who are ready to make supreme sacrifices and kill enemies w/o mercy.
