Winning elections
by Vijay Sahani on Nov 29, 2016 11:07 AM  | Hide replies

Winning civic elections is like a popular person winning college election. Unfortunately, the person winning the election is rarely the one who tops the exams.

I was not wrong to consider it as a test of demonitization.

All this proves is that the aam aadmi has to go a long way in understanding Economics!

Aam Aadmi is swayed by emotions. They think this will dent black money and is good for the country while all top economists have shown reservation on this move.

Then in India modi passes that test? Yes if everybody was educated it is different matter. If everybody was educated 55 years of Congress also would not have happened. So let us live in reality -:)

We are living in reality and sorry but 60 of of Congress rule was bad is no consolation for me to have another 60 years of bad BJP rule.

For you if the decision was politically savvy that may be good enough. For me the only yardstick is whether it was good for the country. And I don't think it was.

Modi has passed what test? The test that college students use while electing their leader? Who is most popular? Yes, he has passed that test. He passed it in 2014 and he continues to do it now.

BUT he has failed the Exam. The exam which determines who is most fit to capable of all the students in the fray.

You can consider it like that but others take it differently. Your issue is that you think there is only your viewpoint and everything else is rubbish -;)

I'm not surprised that you think Modi and BJP is good. 32% of Indians think the same. I have nothing against that. In democracy people have the right to make mistakes.

One thing certain that common public are fully aware that all politicians are alike in corruption but present govt is certainly better than other political parties relatively and trying to do better than previous govts in respect to black money and strong economic measures, whereas congress and other parties are trying to fool public with their crocodile tears but invain

They thought that this is a political point in which they will change govt but then there are still sane people left in the country who can understand why it is done. unfortunately Congress with vast experience could not read the political scenario since all they are concentration reason modi only -:)
