that is why it put the two top stories in the slot of Rediff news to irritate readers and critic. it indicates that Rediff too is part of anti India propaganda by putting so long such stories on board , they are the least known person but for rediff they are most important to be on board for a month. Irritating really.

you mean CPM and Maoists are very creative , strange ways of your thinking . Those enjoying life of Delhi in comforts they go their for the sake of change but not do any work at such places.Being part of CPM , they tried to create ground for Maoists to rebel and do killings .
Had Late Bagel mentioned names of some Govt. Officials or Political leaders especially the ruling party, in his complaint, these so called intellectuals would have something else to say then. It would have taken the shape of Vemula of Osmania university.
land reforms are not carried out and the landless peasant class is not given farmland, society will continue to remain ripe for naxalism and other forms of disruptive forces to exist and thrive !
It will be useless and stuxpid on the part of the state to hope to avoid land reforms by keeping on suppressing what essentially is a violent way of expressing a basic democratic need.

from the dark days of nxl in Bengal 1970, it appeared that Intelect wanted to arm ordinary people and remove whoever is not with them in the garb of Class Strgl! The same story still continues. But state not allowed to oppose with force. Why?????. Neglect of state is paid back by bullets. the sociologists can examine why the neglect? Maybe Solution lies there.

Hope you realize why these big NGOs from Ford foundation to Greepeace have monetary supports from US. But never support environment issues pertaining to meat processing/animal farming to the recent pipeline agitations by Native Indians
