Mearly Political parties get donation will not become black money
by narasimha Hegde on Nov 17, 2016 03:29 PM  | Hide replies

Political parties need to survive, fund, fight for elections. They can take donations in cash less than 20000 and show in their books of accounts. Income Tax Act lays down the calculations, exemptions, limits etc. If they are following the same, who are you to ask their corpus donations?. You need to study Tax law before writing this kind of article man. You are taking examples from a professor who do not know tax law. If the funding is legal, then you do not have to question. Are you questioning big businessmen's who earn money by paying taxes? Same way, black money might have come to political parties but as per law, in their hand it's not. Don't create unnecessary panic and nuisance with public. The intention of demonetization for good reason. Take it in positive sense in longer perspective.Even autowallahs, middle class peoples and poor also aware of this

Sir.. going by your logic, any political parties can accept stolen money (black money is termed as stolen one) and as soon as it is acquired by political party, the stolen money becomes good as per your logic.

It is a sorry state of affair -both parties at treasury and parties at opposition are thieves, they are hand in glove in their looting national resources! Until, there is no national funding or strict enforcement on Election spending, the country cannot be saved from black money and all other economic Offences eating essence and spirit of the democracy!

A must read story
An Indian went to Japan & being his regular habit of resting the feet on opposite seat, he did the same while travelling in a train. An elderly man came to him, took his feet onto his lap and sat on the seat. The Indian was awestruck. He asked the gentleman "Sir, why did you leave your seat & come here to keep my feet on your lap and sit?". The man answered, "mister, you have insulted us by misusing our public property. I was very angry at you for that. But you're a guest to our country. I cannot insult you in public. You are habituated to rest your feet on the opposite seat of bus or train you travel. And i cannot see my country's property being misused. So in order to save our public property & at the same time not to cause inconvenience to a guest, i took your feet on to my lap". The Indian felt ashamed & apologised to the gentleman. He said to the Indian, "We treat the government's property as our own as they are provided from public money. We respect the facilities & don't misuse them. If you can make this habit, you don't have to be insulted like this when you visit other countries'. The elderly gentleman gave a soft-spoken slap.
Real patriotism sounds like this. How many of those, who preach patriotism in here actually practice it?

In the clutches of business
by Bharat Kumar on Nov 17, 2016 12:41 PM  | Hide replies

Until the parties declare their source of income, they will be called cronies of businesses. These businesses are arms agents and wholesale traders who suck out the bulk of the budget - inflated arms purchases and support prices for grains. Many of us are fooled into thinking that the government subsidies and support reach the farmer, when the reality is they are given to wholesalers who sell to the Government ! Worse, the inferior quality sold at a minimum support price rots in the warehouses, the edible quality is sold at fantastic premiums in the market.

This is the vicious cycle of wholesalers that Modi might be trying to break, but how will it break when the Government is paying to the wholesalers?

What goes directly to the farmers and MNREGA workers is at most 50,000 crores into jan dhan accounts operated by middlemen. btw, half the aadhaar card base has expired mobile numbers according to people who do eKYC !

We need to change the mindset and the culture, that needs a purge and a revolution.
