Hillari seems soft and flexible , she will change her mind as per situation. Trump looks stubborn and he is also not popular in Muslims. So Trump is best bet

No democratic president was ever a friend of India, where as very much friend of Pak, except Obama. Republicans always favored India, with the exception of Nixon in his 2nd term, when he had eyes on China as a counter to Russia & saw India as a spoiler.
All in all republicans have been good for India, Sr Bush even openly stating at the height of Russia Afgan war, when USA clearly favored Pak; that he is prepared to give any defensive equipment to India.with the two exceptions, trend has been Republicans for India

In 1962 who supplied us warm clothing and ammunition when the Chinese came down almost near Tezpur? John Kennedy,a Democrat was the President. In 1971 who moved the 7th Fleet to the India Ocean to threaten India? That time the President was a Republican.Democrat or Republican India is on their radar only if they have some business or strategic interest.Pak is their ally.

Kennedy armed Pakistan to the teeth to counter China & Russia. He was only offering to "Rescue" India, it was surely with a rider on Kashmir as his VP Lyndon Johsson was totally for Kashmir independence. I have already said that Nixon was the exception to the republican friends, and also sai that Obama is an exception. Believe me, Hillary first action re India Pak will be to start off Kashmir as base issue

The More Things Change, The More they remain The Same
by Subroto Neogi on Nov 08, 2016 10:35 AM

What is the point of such a rant? Besides its simplistic assumptions, does it really matter for India who is the POTUS? America pays attention to India only when it suits its interests. And they continue to court Pakistan even after so much water has flown down the drain. So just chill and enjoy the mad rush to the tape in the US elections.

This article is a typical Bhakt Rant which insists on looking at everything throught eh prism of Hind-Muslim divide. And viewing even the US elections through this narrow paradigm - Utterly ridiculous.

Who ever becomes President of USA it is naive to accept they will favour India. US is US no change will be there in the policies dictated by Senate and Business houses. If Trump wins India will the first country to be affected.

by venkata krishnan on Nov 08, 2016 09:06 AM

India is a flea in American cow why should they have India policy, did Modi/Manmohan singh have a US policy before winning election? For them chief geopolitical decisions are based on Russia,China, middle East and Pakistan, doesnt matter who rules them.

Whoever wins,it makes no difference to India.Since both are equally bad it make no difference.Their policy of "running with the hare and hunting with the hound" will follow.

True. Both Indian Americans - that unfortunate little community in the US that thinks that the great distinctions of a small minority among them rubs off on all of them - as well as some Indians are making a mistake by eagerly anticipating that this or that candidate will do a great deal of good for India as President !
