Calling him famous is wrong, Being famous is the positive attribute of individual but since his name was heard by some of Indians through Media due to the JNU Anti-national Slogan controversy,his handful of supporters doesn't make him famous.
recent socio political survey by the Centre for Development studies, Trivandrum, show that the 10 % of the Kerala electorate that votes for the BJP (before Modi as well as with Modi) is made up significantly of those whose parents were made to surrender the excess farmland held by them after comprehensive land reforms were implemented in the state from the 50s to the 70s !
Perhaps these people hope that the BJP might seize those lands back from the erstwhile tenanted peasants and give them back if it comes to power in the state !

I saw this post only now. Two questions for you.
1. Why do you fear study reports ? Because they are often inconvenient ? If you think studies and surveys have flaws, why not refer to them ? Are the opinions of some individuals more relevant than the inferences of statistical surveys ?
2. Why do you imply that other states such as Chattisgarh, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand, MP, UP, etc are better off than Bengal today in terms of the commoners (meaning the poor and the lower middle classes, the great majority in all states) living standards ? Can you state with conviction that this is so ? Can you quote any survey results that establish this ?
