Mr Claude Arpi, I think you dont know the facts. It was Sardar Patel in the presence of Col Manekshaw who lashed out at Nehru. "jawahar do you want Kashmir or not. and then ordered Sam Manekshaw, get your troops into Srinagar tonight. Krishna Menon had nothing to do with it, he was a fool who 15 yrs later made Nehru commit another blunder on the Chinese front, which we are still suffering from.

Thanks Claude...
The last line sums it all up: today the terrorists have become martyrs....this was the failing of the civilian govt. of being oblivious to rearing deadly snakes in their backyard, who still had/have unfinished agenda's after partition.

I think there's no point looking up at toothless governments - people need to look at their society and start making the changes irrespective of whoever is in power, else they will suffer greatly.

This is because whenever situations get tough, politicians are the first to escape using their money and 'people-power'.

Deserved honour
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Nov 03, 2016 09:04 PM

It is gracious of the Ministers to honour the memories of fallen heroes. In the Kashmir action, the names of Somnath Sharma, Brig Usman and Col Ranjit Rai will ring forever. I wrote about them on Rediff about 3 years ago , before nationalism was discovered by politicians.

nehru was obsessed woth westerners and their lifestyle and his all decisions were only to please them. he was a real traitor in all sense. gandhiji had to use his as he was the only visible moderate willing to listen to him. but nehru was a true slave of the britishers
