India is expected to win against China not just win some-how but hands down and that too in very short time span. India under Modi is expected to be prepared for all contingencies and overcome them smoothly and take advantage of the situation to push China to agree Indian terms in settling all the border disputes including the POK, AksaiChin and Tibetan autonomy.
All our diplomacy & defense preparedness has no value if we can't achieve these objectives.
The Chinese should have tried this stunt when Mr. Economic Wizard was the rubber stamp PM of this country. The PM had accountability but no power and the Italian mama mia had all the power but no accountability towards the country. This created an ideal power confusion in the ruling dispensation which the Chinese would have taken advantage of.
Now all that has changed with a bunch of nationalists who work under a single command so much that media is accusing the government as a single man show. There is not much sense in attacking an unified command.
China, Russia, Pakistan and some middle eastern / european nations will be on one side of the fence against the rest... This will be world war III, and think again before someone writes this off thinking that economic compulsions far outweigh military adventures....
History has always shown that when pushed to the fence, people act irrationally and aggressively... We see some elements of what created the earlier world wars, happening quite regularly now.

Possible, v. possible since Russia can look a blind eye (and has done so in the past) with China and Pak usurping India.
And as Obama already said yesterday: decisions were made and are made during war-times and not apologized for later... so message was meant for China. If some decision is made that undoes China, then it would be because China provoked it in a variety of ways.
