I missed one point-what about administrative reforms in the defence forces. e g a soldier is still retired at 35 years of age. This age was established when the average life expectancy in India was 33 years. Now the life expectancy is close to 70 years . But the retirement age remains the same throwing away so much expense spent on the soldier in making him an asset for the country. He is free for the rest of his life to work as a security personnel or hired by private people, may be for 'adventurous' tasks. Please sir, look into this. Sir, two years is a very short time to judge a ministry. For one -scams in procurement are unearthed after many years.Secondly, the important question is what have been achieved? Has the defence finalized any orders and received even part supplies? The defence forces are starving for equipment and technology (that is not to blame you) but a deal which originated sometimes in 1909's did not yield anything to the defense forces. * It is this system of processes which you have to establish and operate. The processes should be effective in delivering results as well as efficient. * What is the progress of indigenization of defence equipment. What starts have been made ? etc.What is the progress on the export front. * Sir, let us have numerical targets -now after two years , you and your team is surely in a position to set and achieve numerical targets. It is funny that the idiots talk only of the Ministers,and other big deals which runs in Crores.It need not be in cash but kind is evident in seeing the free air lifts and huge expenditure for Rallies.Who pay?What is the source? Similarly the country has laks of inspectors and crores of staff which indulge in corruption or corrupt practices.The exposure will burst open after BJP is out of power. No big deal has taken place in Defense so no Corruption.CSD,Med Purchases and Ordinance,Mes,Asc all departments survive on underhand cash.It will be dream come true if you can stop corruption.Even a plumber,a mason of MES is corrupt.In case of exposure of big amounts well please wait.
