Sushma swaraj never covers head while in India (except in winter). Was it necessary for her to cover her head while in Tehran? Some one may suggest whether BURKA would have been more appropriate even. I am at a loss.
The article covers several issues and waxes eloquent on aspects which were almost forgotten during the past few decades. The only issues of immediate relevance and some active talking are: buying more oil from Iran through whichever route and persuading Iran to discard "wiping out Israel" threats. But for both these objectives, I wonder if India has enough clout. PM must certainly be aware of the arrival of Donald Trump on the horizon and that must figure in India`s understanding with Iran. Trump as opposed to Obama is a "America first" man, fully charged with that mission. Obama was more accessible to Iran, Saudi Arabia and indeed the entire Islamic world.
