ACHUDANTHAN WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER CHOICE
by Vascado on May 25, 2016 05:05 PM

In my humble opinion, Achudanthan would have been a far better choice as he earned a good name during his previous stint as CM of the State with his refreshing governance remarkably different from earlier regimes with a no-nonsense approach and less corruption in administration. The clean up Munnar Project for restoring the ecological balance of the Hill station was one of the welcome initiatives taken forward which achieved moderate success. Unfortunately, the Party lost the elections by a wafer thin margin in Kerala's Yo-Yo political pendulum that swings every five years alternating the parties despite the good work.

Now, the Party has opted for Pinarayi Vijayan by ignoring the old war horse and it is not a secret that the two are bete noires who doesn't get well together due to political differences and nurse mutual distrust of one another.

Kerala CMs are better than any others in India
by WILSON CHANDRAN on May 25, 2016 05:02 PM

Almost all commented that their leaders in Kerala are corrupt. Persons who have not much knowledge about other state CMs except a few like Mamta seem to have commented agst CMs of Kerala. In fact most CMs of Kerala irrespective of any party are not corrupt. There should be specific charges as 'what was their assets before becoming CM and after what are theirs.

Kerala CM's wife on her husband
by susarla suryaprakasam on May 22, 2016 01:30 PM

Forget about these pleasantries. While Mamata could silence CPM goons in west Bengal, it is not so in Kerala, another CPM jungle Raj. The CM incumbent is not like Achyutanandan, and centre should show him / pay him back in his own coin.

By appearance,he is simple and thoughtful, so is his life as per lines above disclosed by his wife. Let us hope, Kerala will go ahead under his leadership.

No Progress in Kerala ? I am not sure what you mean by progress ? Progress is achieved by robust GDP figures, but only by enhancing human development. Well, on that criterion, Kerala scores above rest of the Indian States relatively speaking. I would not compare its development to Scandinavian Countries which are way beyond imagination, yet it is miles ahead of the so-called model State of Gujarat on various socio economic parameters including literacy, life expectancy, sanitation, infant mortality rate, maternal mortality rate etc. It boasts of better education facilities and health camps promoted by Government.

Pinarayis wife will never admit what she knows very well - that her husband, the party leader very few commoners want as the CM, rode on the back of VS Achuthaanandan , the most popular and incorruptible leader today in Kerala, and has deftly usurped the CMship !

The CPM did to common keralites who voted for the left what the proverbial marriage agent did to a gullible bridegroom - show a beautiful woman as his prospective bride and then place a plain one before him at the appointed hour as the actual bride on wedding day !

Achuthanandan is old and a younger leader is what Kerala needs.
