Why Gandhi`s names - Rishi Kapur
by daniel thorat on May 18, 2016 04:49 PM  | Hide replies

Firstly, he is not aware of what the Nehru/Gandhi has done for this country, and how great were their sacrifices. The entire Kapur family would never match a fraction of the greatness of Gandhi family. Can Rishi Kapur match, devalue or insult Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi who died for this country. Why is Rishi Kapur suddenly uncomfortable? Is it that Kher or other BJP supporters have won him over or forced him to say all these unkind words? He need not feel hurt landing at Indira Gandhi airport, or Sewagram, unless he is burning with hatred, which of course will show his lost balance of mind. Then, again, what names would he like, forget Bhagat Singh, Shivaji, Bose etc. who actually really did very, very little for India`s freedom, though their sacrifice is great. Then, Sawarkar? Bhagwat, Modi, Amit Shah, Yedyurappa, Ramdev, Manu, ??? Let him suggest names ! It is such people who upset the atmosphere of calm and peace and bonhomie in this country. Rishi Kapur always struck me as childish and childlike, with youthful energy at taking all things lightly. Let him think as an adult and mature person.

Looks you are a supporter of CONGRESS lead by only Nehru-Gandhi Dynasty. What Rishi Kapoor has said is absolutely correct,In Congress the other leaders knows only names linked to Gandhi's.
I think you have not read the sacrifices given by many persons during british-congress era--where are other cabinet ministers of Nehru-Indira-rajiv --there were many in cabinet who deserve the names to be highlighted.

Mr.Thorat, what do you mean by saying 'forget Bhagat Singh, Shivaji, Bose etc. who actually really did very, very little for India's freedom, though their sacrifice is great' ! Are you on senses ?? Savarkar's name also doesn't look good on your tongue ! I advise you to read his books to know more about him. Don't just criticize.

Rishi is right
by Sanjay Kulkarni on May 18, 2016 04:48 PM  | Hide replies

There is no difference between the Britishers and the post-independence Congress. Both looted this country. The Congress treated the national assets as Nehru and Gandhi family property. They shamelessly ignored the immense contribution of other leaders. Nehru did Himalayan blunder by allowing China to take over Tibet and Manasrovar territory. The Congress's contribution to this country is minor as compared to the harm they have done to the Nation. Shame on you Congress.

The Britishers were conquerors and victors, and did all or somewhat less than other conquerors before them did. Without Nehru and Gandhi, you wouldn`t have this country, to be able to talk of the Himalayan blunder. What India is today is because what has been done by them, not by those who just got power and doing similar things in other, more subtle ways. Before expressing any opinion, some minimum study and reading of the history becomes essential !!!

Nehru and Gandhi ruled this country for more than 60 years. The result:
India is on very low level at almost all the global indexes like Per Capita Income, Sanitation, Education etc. India suffers from high level of poverty and corruption. The Nehrus and Gandhis have failed miserbly.

If there was no Nehru or Gandhi, there would be somebody else. The British ruled half the world or over 60 countries. You think all 60 countries got freedom because of Nehru?

Easy to forget

People easily forget the contribution of parents these days. Contributions of political leaders are much easier to forget. Just like his kapoor surname, the names remind of ones legacy.
