Commendable feat

The Air Force Chief deserves praise for flying the indigenously made Tejas & applauding its quality & maneouvrability. Hope they induct Tejas in our Air Force. Unfortunately for past 2-3 decades the Indian govt & our Defence forces have made it a practice to procure all equipments from abroad & ignore local production. All this has led to big scams in defence procurement. Bofors,Augusta are only the tip of an ice berg, there are many such & bigger scams hidden.

It is really praiseworthy if Air Chief take to skies & a great booster to the whole Air Force.
It will definitetely encourage the indegenious production & make India will be a realty.
The greatest advantage is politician & armament agents will be unable to corrupt the whole system of procurement.

Forget Rafales and focus on Indian options
by Rajesh Chheda on May 17, 2016 07:34 PM

Tejas first,
Cancel Rafale deal fully unless it is made in India fully.
China does not import it's fighter aircraft anymore the fifth generation fighters also are made in China now.
India must import technology, not aircrafts anymore....India can make any defence supplier crawl on it's knees and offer a deal that we want but for inefficient bureaucrats and useless politicians.

This is really a great news. This not only gives the message in public general but its more important in terms of motivating the forces and motivating the companies making defense items indigenous.

A single act as like that of the Air Chief , goes a long way in making such products acceptable to the regular users. Proud of the IAF & HAL. Please keep up the good work & kindly speed up production.
