How we won the 71 war
by Abhishek Shridhar Mishra on Dec 16, 2017 12:34 PM  | Hide replies

Yes our brave armed forces won both the 65 & 71 war. However our Govt lost during peace. Shimla agreement was a disaster-Kashmir should have been resolve then. We lost the peace dialogue from a position of great strength. Pir- Panjar,Chicken Neck, POK and large swathes of strategically important areas were lost to Pak, during the peace dialogue. Brave army officers and jawans had sacrificed their lives & limbs to capture these post. Today many lives continue to be lost as strategic areas were gift wrapped and given away to PAk. Army was not even consulted before giving it away.Govt did not care of those sacrifices/ strategic importance.Hurt Army was insulted furthur. Their pay/pensions were reduced after victory in 71 war. Now when they are old and weak they protest at jantar mantar for their rights. All previous Govt's have failed them. We all have betrayed our army- sad.

Things will change only if we have an ex-serviceman as PM. If that happens in India as well as Pakistan at the same time, that would mean the end of hostilities between the two nations.

Chinese army largely fatigued and Pak wary
by Rajesh Chheda on May 17, 2016 01:25 PM

Armies around the world have motivational issues. Chinese and Pak army are badly affected by low morale.
India should somehow find way to insulate Indian army from getting into this state.
