after so many years after independence govt. after govt. have not been able to make pipes and canals to transport water from flood prone areas to drought prone areas. BLAME THE POLITICIANS FOR INACTION. HOLD THE MINISTRY OF IRRIGATION AT CENTRAL AND STATE GOVT. RESPONSIBLE.
We in India, never want to see the problem when it is at nascent stage. But we let it go out of proportion & then try to solve it but only after taking it to Mantris so that they get election stuff. I suggested to Director of Town Planning, not to cut trees in 1980 & he promptly gave most generous, free suggestion that I meet the Special Officer of Muncipal Corporation (an IAS) Everyone knows how easy it is to meet an Officer & what more make him openup his brains to listen & above all this also to act. Now everyone talks of water, saving water, saving water, water harvesting & every word/phrase they can recollect/pick from dictionary. This yr Monsoon is predicted to be good & its \"business as usual\". Everything will be forgotten. In 100 Smart Cities, they wanted to give 380 ltrs water/day/family but no one (including Mnistry of Urban Development babus or Minister) knows where from they will get it. MUD has announced that they do not know what is a Smart city but announced a plan for 100 Smart cities, with a budget of 350 laks crores, a certain, colossal waste. They do not want to listen to anyone though they confessed that they do not know anything about Smart Cities. At lets hope, at least here, they made an honest announcement. With this kind of plan/approach, they can only ruin whatever little infrastructure left by uneducated Rajahs of India. No wonder, Chief Justice of India commented \"even God can not save this Country\

Water ,and helath care alongwith Education is the bare necessity of all citizens...where is it after decades of Congress rule and one deacde of BJP rule in some states...Both BJP and Congress are two sides of the smae coin,I guess ,as normal citizen is sufferring at the hands of both.
