If Nepalese can change Indian to China in their heart so swiftly
by Ravi on May 31, 2016 08:20 PM

If Nepalese can change Indian to China in their heart so swiftly then the same can be accomplished by India. Its just a matter of when! Let Nepalese feel the Dragons fire just as it scorched Vietnam, Philippines, and scores of other Asean & North East Asian countries. No use in appeasing Nepalese communists.

Nepal-China Ties:-
by gomathy venkateswar on May 07, 2016 09:09 AM  | Hide replies

Having lived in Nepal for 5 years from 1999-2003, during the period of the Maoist insurgency, and in an area of Nepal Kavre district 35kms outside of Kathmandu, running a brand new residential school. This area was the R&R playground for the otherwise hidden Maoists. I found Indian diplomacy at its worst then, and has continued over all these years, where the lordly attitude and the Big Brotherly treatment of Nepalis has irked Nepali politicians and its citizens sorely. Rajic Gandhi\'s blockade remained a rankling wound and now the Madhesis\' blockade backed by the Modi Govt. is unforgiveable, breaking their spine and spirit. I consider Nepal as my second home and am welcomed there as a family member by Friends in high places, but they freely discuss their utter animosity against India. We have not mended our fences and continue to ride the high horse. Why can\'t Nepal develop their economy with attracting Buddhists to the land of the birth of Lord Buddha. We know thast Buddhism flourished in distant places but not in the country where its philosophy was born out of the sermons in Sarnath and the Lord\'s travels nearby. If Buddhism has been revived in a modern form it is the neo- Buddhism of the Marginalised peoples of India--The Dalits who place Lord Buddha and Dr Ambedkar at their altar of worship. Change th attitude of the Indian diplomats manning their posts in Kathmandu.

Gomathy venkateswar may be tamilian or south indian . Regarding Nepali crisis -North nepalies treating Madhesi as slaves and they are having relation ship with India. It is like srilankan problem. Are you expecting India to sacrifices pro Indian people to progress. Funny think. Regarding China relation, Nepal will have to pay very heavy price like Pak and it will attract bombardment from USA and West.Foolish people.

Solutions needed

The article simply enumerates all the negative aspects of the INdo- Nepal interaction. There is absolutely no suggestion about what steps India can take. The first thing to do is for the PMO, NSA and MEA to take stock of all their mistakes, be humble enough to accept that there were some mistakes and then move on from there.

Observers and experienced diplomats/former officers can only make their point ,it is for the Govt.of the day to suitably respond and this Govt. is already under the impression that it has become powerful enough to dictate to neighbouring countries as if they are vassals
