What happened in kolkata can happen anywhere else also in india, as seen the level of corruption involved, So in every stage of construction the technology should be used to check the standard of such construction, both during as well as completed projects,For completed projects the regular wear and tear should be monitored with some RFID technology,which will alarm the puplic through the alarm device, if some defect is to happen, way ahead of the actual mishap.

tech might be there but tech is on the hand of corrupted engineer and contractor. There is none to check them !! But I appreciate your second method of alarm making facilities, but I think it will be useful after the completion of the entire work, is not it ?
Why ruling party and others try to say that they have not given clearances, it is to be noted project sanctioned May be continued in construction in another party coming into power, but the overhaul responsibility is the concern department incharge under whose supervision it is constructed they have failed.At least on behest collapse at least if the state rescue force not in a position to exediate and call for disaster reuse team from defence,and afterwards disdiscuss the action plan who are to be punished.
