Bar dancers and proximity
by Ramamurthy Venkateswaran on Apr 04, 2016 08:18 AM

What the Maharashtra State Assembly is contaemplating and doing are a striking paradox. It expects the people who are visiting the bars not to touch the bar dancers or not to throw money at them. Perhaps the legislators think that the people visiting the bars might throw arms/ammunitions/acid on the bar dancer and hence seem to have decided on banning throwing of money, etc. at the bar dancers. While the state legislators have put a time frame, etc. in some other state legislatures, where the members were found browsing internet watching such sites even during day time, while the bar visitors are those who after a days hard work. Before commenting on others or passing a bill, one (particularly the state legislators) should ensure that they are above board. Many have lost ethics, morals, etc. and are freely distributing the benefits of such morals, ethics, etc.

Govt. is trying to waste its energy in unwanted and uncalled issues just due to prestige involved, as court has permitted bar dancers to perform.
Nothing wrong with bars and bar dancers, even entertainment,if it is not in residential colonies and do not affect anyone.

Girls and liquor are delightful matters. Rs.50000 will do wonderful performance. Owners and deadline never match our imagination. Bill breaks the barriers of rich and poor.

What kind of hypocrites are we? Though I don't understand the mentality of people who go to watch bar dancers, I feel that people who go there wouldn't definitely want to watch a cultural program with BharatNatyam or Kuchipudi dancers performing in decent clothing. If the government is so worried about modesty of w0men, they should completely stop this practice of making w0men dance in front of drunkards. But the government wants to make money from these licenses and they know very well that all these laws are just an eyewash.

Govt always wanted this to stop. Supreme court gave the order to restart it.Santa please understand and read about things before talking. Govt cannot go against SC's decision. Anyway I also believe these bar dancers should be allowed otherwise they will starve. Those who say that this is not good for society will they give anybody of these a job? No. So they will starve and die instead let this happen and let it happen safely

Bar girls above twenty five may be good approach and government has well committed about citizen moralities. Police officers on duty can watch CCTV and amendments with above bill.

We need a lesser crime while revenue from these dance bars may directly go to the exchequer. Thanks high court orders.
