We should not break traditions. Windows should not celebrate holi
by JOHN IDYAKUNNEL on Mar 24, 2016 10:26 AM

Our forefathers have established our traditions based on some good thinking. We should never break them, else it will destroy our nations great tradition which we cherish so much. This act will only bring shame and disgrace to our beautiful traditions of a country we call India. Institutions that go against our traditions should be totally banned just like JNU.

All the traditions which we follows are made by us. If something is irrational and illogical we should change it.Nothing is permanent in society. It is still evolving.

It is a good move and more needed to be done to weed out outdated traditions. Hinduism has to be adhered to on scientific, logical and rationale bases so that all good things are welcomed and bad things weeded out as used to be our puraanic tradions of Rishis etc

Emancipation of women

Though it is very hard for the male chauvinists to digest the action taken by the organizers to help the Vrindavan and widows of Varanasi to celebrate the Holiopenly. Kudos to the Organizers. It is a welcome step and the next step should be to enter the sanctum sanctorum of the all religious places to change the medieval mindset of the citizens of this country
