indian army
by JATINDER PADWAL on Aug 21, 2016 09:00 PM

there is no comparison between Marry com & Irom shirmola . On one hand a lady from Manipur make India proud at world level & second is interested in making only news. The same army when is indulged in saving the life of others may be in flood situation, earthquakes or any such adverse condition ,without thinking of there life and there families are busy in saving the life .than army is great army is doing good job, proud to Indian army such and many appreciating words are listened from every where
But when same army act under AFSPA to save there country from evils ,same intellectuals start crying
this is wrong .why there is doubled standard INDIAN ARMY IS GREAT AND ALWAYS REMAIN GREAT

Heros

There are many heros in this Country. But at the forefront is the Army which braves tough conditions and risks lives for the Country. AFSPA is meant to prevent dissidence and until the situation is under control, it prevents unnecessary blood-shed. It is only a matter of time before all genuine concerns are addressed.

There is a reason

Remember, Mary Kom is doing something for the Nation and Irom Sharmila is doing for a Regional Cause. Not all Indians are interested in the affairs of a small Region. Nation is foremost for all. Let us be proud of that.

Fighting for the cause of welfare and liberty of people is much greater than a achievements of a sportsperson. \'Nation\' is not always supreme. There are values and ideas greater than Nationalism. Viewing this comparison as region vs Nation is naive.

Mr. Shyam Sunder and Mr. Ranbir Kochar,
I think what each of you wrote above carry equal value, no more, no less. I have tried to figure out for myself whose view I find to be more accurate, but have failed to give preference to one over the other.

ASFA is for security of people . If security forces were withdrawn from north east then it become another aksai chin or POK . Blogging against the country is easier than doing something for the country.
It is the fashion in the country now to oppose the government in all respect. Mr. Kochar Nation is foremost . No any value or idea is greater than the nationalism.
Pls take addmission in LKG again to learn about nationalism

Think!!
by Story editor on Mar 22, 2016 09:17 AM  | Hide replies

Guys,

For a change, for 10 minutes I would like all of you to come out of our narrow definitions of nationalism and think of this lady. Is she anti national? What is your opinion of her, honestly?

No one wants India to disintegrate, but what created such problems in the first place? Is the North East not alienated? When you speak of a biased media, why don't you talk of this bias? Are they not a part of India? If they are protesting against the bias and the problems they face, why is the government not talking to them? Is this government also like the UPA?

It’s your fault and my limitation that in the boundary of 10 minutes that you provided, I could only think that Irom Sharmila’s struggle against AFSPA has nothing to do with alienation of North-East, the bias or the Center.

It’s your turn to think of Tripura where AFSPA was no longer needed as peace prevailed, thanks to the willingness of the politicians.

Irom Sharmila definitely deserves our respect for her determination. Her struggle began to protest the shameful incidences carried out by certain individuals sheltered by AFSPA. But what about the loss of lives of the people and the security personnel endeavoring to ensure peace? Has she offered any solution to this? One cannot choose part of the picture to appreciate the complete work of art.

On the contrary, people are not left in this doubtful state for extending their wholehearted support love and respect for M C Mary Kom who is a true champion of champions.

AFSPA

This is problem of intellectuals. There might be some genuine/innocent harassments but that's how security works. It's not like that out of 100 cases, 50 are innocent people. Defence services have their own intelligence system and everything is based on that. They don't enter any house directly and detain /arrest innocent citizens. Problem lies with SO CALLED intellectuals who get paid from other countries to create problem for their own country. What if tomorrow I sit on hunger strike and ask independent from India?

Why moderator? Answer my questions. Do you want India to be devided into pieces by inciting people from all parts of the country?

Sharmila should mend herself. She should not behave like Mamata Banerjee. Withdrawal of military is not solution. Sharmila should not so adamant. Mr Firdaus is writing against India. From where is he.
