Fact is Sangma was Rajiv Gandhi's blue eyed boy and prospered at the time. He made a choice to oppose Sonia and backed Pawar for the top job in the congress.That isolated him.

Teh author forgets that Sangma 's daughter was Union cabinet minister in Manmohan Singh's govt.IF Sonia never forgave Sangma, as the author claoms, then how did Sanhma's daughter become the cabinet minister.
Problem with these bhaktauthors is that thy do not have the intellect or the time to ven do basic research for their article and just want twist facts to pay obeisance to their political masters!
