We all wish that the matter is taken to its logical conclusion. High court directive should be respected.

Murder on Rly Platform

It was a gruesome murder by any rate. But Court questioning Police what they were doing is of no use. Probably they were busy guarding some VIP Politician OR clearing the Roads for VIPs Cars & their followers, to move freely and any number of such reason. The Courts are asking the Police "what they were doing". But I am asking the Courts what they are doing? Why cant they give death sentence do any person indulging in rape, murder, attacking females (in particular) with acid and the like. Most of the persons know that they can get out of the jail within 7 or 10 yrs but most important is that the case itself (sometimes) can take even 20 yrs. Let the Courts answer why people (who come to court with cases) are given so many postponements? It is not very difficult for Judiciary to see
who is the culprit (most of the times) and dont give any dates, for such people to get (false) evidence. If Gandhi died for the country, criminal suspects and some times innocents can also die to straighten the law and criminals shudder even to think of hatching any plot for crime.

Killings
by wilson chandran on Jun 27, 2016 09:30 PM

Some 4/5 years ago one Ex-Ministers brother, owner of an Engg College was killed.
Similarly one advocate a social activist was killed some 4/5 years ago. Talked high by all but the culprits are yet to be find out.
Putting the blame entirely on Police is also unfair as there are so many cases reportedly pending in courts for years together which makes/tempts the killers to do such acts.

Had this type of killings happened in a rural or semi urban areas the general public would not have allowed the killer to escape - or atleast clueless etc.
Similar type of incidents brought by rediff in this blog earlier, I noticed a large number of comments - participated.
Unless judgement is given within a reasonable time it would likely to continue without fear.

Afterall what is jurisdiction? It should be a thin line and not a thick one as if it is international border. Any police force talking about jurisdiction are talking irresponsibly.
