The Depleting Morale of Our Youth
by Manohar Bhargava on Jun 27, 2016 10:19 AM

I hope the HRD bosses realize the depleting morale as well as character of Indian youth. The fate of Ph.D,Engineers,Post graduates,Graduates,Diploma Holders speak of two great achievements of BJP.All these high education is result of Vyapam? or these highly qualified feel there is more financial benefit as a Constable compared to a white collar job.It is eye opener for any one to see that one and all have been corrupted by policies of State as well as Center policies. The next achiements is that the policy of reservation has demoralised Ph.d to compete with Vlllclass of SC ST origin.See for your self and please comment.Enough is enough

NOT SUITABLE
by PK Sagar on Jun 21, 2016 01:37 PM  | Hide replies

I daresay that Smriti Irani is not suitable for the post of HRD minister, in fact any ministery because I would prefer a slightly phlegmatic person who takes time to react. She is so volatile that she is not fit for any responsibility. She can not take any criticism. I wonder what Modi saw in her to give such a big responsibility. All ministers cant be good, some are very good , some OK and some like her, very poor.

She was one among the rest. She is a true human being not a like a politician whom you people worship, such as laluji or paswan ji or mulayam ji. You people are havituated to be a fodder of this type of politician. That's why our nation is like this.

Education Ministry

Answers to the two questions of Ranganathan:-
1.The question is hypothetical and irrelevant because the next non-BJP govt. will surely undo and remove a lot of communal agenda infused into our education, through things like Yoga, Bharat Mata Ki Jai, introduction of unknown national heroes in text books, tampering with history etc. etc. Has anybody ever thought of asking scholars/experts outside India about who they give credit for India`s Independence?
2. The institutions that may not merely fail but also damage and destroy our true growth and development would be those that have been created with such great alacrity, with an unmistakable eye on the Hindu Rashtra agenda.

It is funny you are blind to the treatment Hindus are meted in all the surrounding countries like Pakistan,Afghanistan,Bangladesh,Malaysia where the population has gone down to a near 0.5% from 1947. BJP is only making Policy which you feel is communal agenda.I dare you comment on this achievements.See the increase of Muslim population which is doubled.See the Christians .Get the number of churches & Mosques in India and compare with any country. It will show you light of the day.Hope you understand without pressure of religious bigots.

While this Govt has some very good ministers in Gadkari, Parikkar etc. They have some poor performers like Smiti. Unfortunate that it is in the education sector. Her only qualification is that she took on Rahul baba.

India's TOP University does not feature in world top 250 universities. If we take top 500 world universities, Indian universities do feature beyond 350th rank to 500th rank. That is the position of indian education in world arena. Now education in the hands of an uneducated. We can understand where will we be by 2030!

Very appropriate views! Beginning with the PM himself, there are questions raised about several ministers` degrees etc. But, that itself explains the start of the mess we can have soon in our education. What is really needed is that all these ministers be sent each on a tour of about a hundred foreign countries, so that they actually see what kind of people have been produced there in their education system. In India, we just cannot expect any miracles, because if we want first of all a Hindu Rashtra with all the fields of activity totally saturated by mythologies, festivals, astrologers, yagnyas, Kumbh Melas etc. etc. what will our people (today`s pupils) turn out to be?

It is a noble profession but controlled by very bad employers(whether Private or State)
Vote banks decide many things-how can education too escape this?
In view of these, irrespective of who is the education minister, we cannot expect miracles

Misleading
by Wiki Leaks on Jun 18, 2016 01:47 PM  | Hide replies

The Bihar minister had raised certain issues and wanted to know the status. Just see how BJP is trying to dodge the query and making an irrelevant issue out of it. Just see the height of hypocrasy. While Bihar minister is an ELECTED public representative, the hon’ble HRD minister is REJECTED by people of India. Despite that he addressed the HRD minister decently, and even suffixed “Ji”.

Now, even if we look at the performance of HRD ministry, we could experience only doom for the function, with number of instances of ruckus in various institutions, leading to even degradation of education system in the country. There seem to be no efforts/ suggestions / steps to improve the system in the country. Yes, let BJP clarify:

How do they see the country’s education going forward? Why are the toilets claimed to be built under the Swachch Vidyalaya Mission not working/have any water? Why is the quality of education deteriorating and students shifting to private schools despite so much spending? Why is the discontent among college students growing day by day?

Instead of giving solutions to the problems being faced by the country, BJP, including their paid agents and supporters flooded on media, dodge the questions and start comparing with one and sundry, blame one and sundry and try to run away from responsibilities.

. Not only that, BJP would not allow non-BJP governments, like AAP, etc. to function smoothly and continue to create ruckus in the country and tarnish the image of such state governments so that they can be branded anti-national and then thrown out undemocratically. The mismanagement has reached such a level that every common man in India can feel the heat of price rise, etc. Moreover, the responsible persons misleading, intentionally or otherwise, has also gone up drastically, trying to make fool of public.

Some of the worlds best Novels are written by those who dint have formal education.
Heads of Private hospitals are from non medical background. can you ask them the future of health and the vision.
Even of the minister comes from an educated background he cannot be a master of all fields. One cannot be an expert in engineering medicine science and all. a minister facilitates and understands the needs. None can be Better than Smriti Ji.

As long as Indian Constitution upholds the eligibility criteria currently in force for becoming an MLA or MP or Minister, we will get our elected representatives like Iranis and Rabris... Nonaccountable media will thrive on their follies, rather than probing on their virtues, if any.

Who has given the right to Media to question anyone? Does the public have the right to question their loyalties or what they indulge in when not reporting? Have we got the right to check medias' credentials whether or not their interests are national or anti-national? or is the MEDIA above all laws?
