Complete Garbage!!!

This man has done half-baked research on his book. Blaming everything on the British is very easy and pseudo-patriotic for ignorant Indians! Our Indian politicians were not naïve at that time. Both MAJ and JLN wanted to be the PM of India and MAJ wanted an independent Muslim state even before 2nd world war (LLM was appointed Viceroy only in March 1947) and also MAJ was a senior leader to JLN but JLN influenced LLM via his wife (with whom JLN had an EM) and ultimately both fulfilled their own dreams and became PM of their respective area after partition. In fact in 1947, there were 562 princely states that had the option to either accede to India/Pakistan or avail independence separately. NE India was never a part of India until the British inducted it. NE India also like J&K , Hyderabad, Junagadh had the option to gain Independence separately from rest of India or to stay with India. If Britishers had dubious plans they would have rather kept Assam separately as Assam at the time of Independence was providing about 40% of India's oil demand (Assam had the first refinery in Asia developed in 1896) and was the largest producer of tea in the world (the British created thousands of tea gardens in Assam and created a well-organized tea Industry) and they would have rather kept their fav drink producing state separate from India had they had any dubious plan.

Not completely garbage. British did right and wrong to serve their interest only. Kashmir is one of the wrongs British did and some complicated selfish group facilitated wrong to shape.Let us undo the wrong if we feel we are better than our misadventurists.BLAME GAME IS FOR COWARDS.

What happened in 1947 just after Independence and partition was: MAJ (a pulmonary Koch’s patient) was advised by his physician to go to hillside (Srinagar) for his TB related ailment.

But J&K an independent state ruled by Maharaja Hari Singh, did not permit MAJ to enter Srinagar as a result MAJ got annoyed and sent NWFP tribal militias to invade J&K. Ultimately Raja Hari Singh had pleaded India for help but JLN bargained that J&K has to accede to India than only India would send troops to fight-off the Pak troops/militias.

In fact British officer at that time had fought for India in preventing Pak advancement, so the logic that British had allowed the POK is illogical. It was JLN who suddenly called the ceasefire when the Pak were on the run but still in Kashmir which later became the POK.

J&K originally a Hind dominated state ruled by King Lalitaditya in 8th century who had thwarted many Mughal attempts of invasion. It was latter that the Hind were displaced and also as recently as the 1980s & 90s when the Kashmiri Pandits were thrown out of their own homeland by the Mus that occupied Kashmir later and now has over 95% Mus population.

How true. For British policy of dividing India, America had the support. In fact, Pakistan is the child of America. Real Father of Pakistan is Sri Mohandas K Gandhi. America will not allow its child to suffer. Whatever the child does the blunders, it will be pardoned by America. The military regime of Pakistan will listen to its father America but not of its Prime Minister or President.

Can anyone deny ground reality of today, time of land grab has gone, if we cannot hold Kashmir and cannot deal with separatists,it is our failure, we are to accept it or Kashmir is ours, permit people from main land in lacs in democratic manner to storm Kashmir and push all separatists either to POK or PAK. Such articles who tells history etc., create confusion, if so, PAK was also a PARK of India.

Even after Goof ups We had golden opportunity after 1971 Bangla war, 100,000 POWs were in our hand and our un-patriotic leaders. Then Indira Gandhi gave away Kachi Thivu to Sri Lanka and now our fisher men are suffering

I do feel that we should have at least occupied Gilgit and Baltistan in 1971 to cut off Pakistan from China. But the US warned Mrs Gandhi against it; so did the USSR.

The problem in Kacha Theevu is that Indian fishermen practise bottom trawling which finishes off all the fish. It is like treating the sea as a mine rather than a field to be harvested. This is what the Sri Lankan Tamil fishermen oppose.

The CJIs father fought for Sheikh Abdullah, who was a wolf in sheeps clothing. So do not understand what the CJI means 'reach out to the people of JK' We are already reaching out by taking their people in cricket teams, allowing them to educate in top colleges anywhere in India, while the Kashmiris Muslims threw out Hindu Kashmiris, and have no intention to havin them back. We fund them massively by the rest of India taxpayers money and yet these Ehsan Paramosh people talk of India and Pakistan settling the Kashmir issue.
