The past governments were not ignorant. It was done earlier some 40/50 years ago like this. India struggled during 1965 in producing food items and forced to import. After that only everything developed. What are the newfind are based on the foundation laid by those govts.

Not a wonder. Just that you made a story on her

There are thousands, i repeat thousands, of Phds in Agricultural Sciences who opted for farming. they all made many contributions to their respective areas.
Better your correspondent visit State Agricultural Universities and collect such stories.
you will require many years publishing them
Please do not forget we were 'Ship-to-mouth' when we were 40 Crores and are now food surplus when we are 130 Crores.

What Miss Preeti Virkar is going to do is good for farming, but she should also take Inspiration from Dr. George Washington Carver the famous botanist."Its given that to farm land one must study its soil, environment etc. But Dr. George said that Farmer has to make adjustment between soil and the crop to be planted. Rest read is amazing story of how he converted infertile soil into icredible. fertile soil. Cotton was King But he made Peanut Emperor
