I would have preferred if the penalty was at least $10 Billion. The current amount is too meagre & it should have been far stiffer. Need more such decisions like these from The Hague.
Before the BJP enthusiasts and the Press at large start a campaign against the previous UPA for this negative result, we must remember the hue and cry raised by the BJP and sections of the Press ( using the CAG's comments as a platform) that put huge pressure on the Govt of the day to cancel the Devas agreement. The nation is paying dearly for over activism in sitting on judgement on what was a purely technical decision by Antrix, with commercial returns better than prevailing International norms.
