MODI SENDS ALL THE RIGHT SIGNALS THROUGH THE RESHUFFLE
by damodaran mohan on Jul 11, 2016 06:26 PM  | Hide replies

I think it is a fairly objective assessment. It is true stamp of authority of PM on the cabinet formation is unmistakable and perhaps only during Nehru's time such a total control would have existed. Of course Amit Sha's stamp of authority too is quite visible sending the desired signals. The best part is indeed shifting out Smriti Irani from HRD where she was a total misfit. It seems even the RSS, Amit Sha &co. too found it the hard way ! The somewhat haughty and publicity seeking Irani needed to deal with scholars and academicians should not have been there in the first place. But the textile portfolio appears to be ideal for her given her enterprise and ability that can be used where Modi has invested a lot. Thus she is expected to be successful given she must have learnt now to change herself longitudinally.Taken together with all other changes Modi has sent two very clear signals that augers well for improvement in the performance of the ministers. One, that every minister is under constant close scrutiny of him directly for performance and will be held accountable. So all that noise about the PM being silent to provocative voices have been silenced and we can expect more sanity among the ministers when they interact in public in future. Moreover the new induction and the shifting to the new jobs appear to fit the PM’s overall strategy well including his electoral ones.

(CONTD.)Second , he has proved himself to be very good judge of people although his initial choice of Smriti Irani to HRD still baffles .Possibly she overdid the saffron agenda for comfort of the PM because even somebody like Javdekar, a more balanced individual too is expected to be follow the same line.

It is Rather Amusing How Rediff Projects A Very Administrative...
by rishi on Jul 08, 2016 06:12 AM

....exercise as political. Every progressive government makes a periodic assessment of its developing manpower needs with an objective of better functioning and deliverance of its commitment to its constitutency, in this case the nation at large. Electoral gains of this exercise, if any, would be purely incidental....or more accurately, consequential to the exercise proving to be fruitful in taking the nation's governance, primarily the economy in the next gear for speedier deliverance. It is wrong to see everything happening in the government from a political eye.

Misleading. Cabinet Reshuffle Is Not On Electoral.....
by rishi on Jul 08, 2016 05:57 AM

.....considerations. There is a serious team in 'progressive' governance at the centre for two years that now seeks to get into the next gear for which it sought improvements in both governance and administrative functioning of the various ministries, a very healthy approach for any organisation which will be as productive as most of CEO-Modi's Team India is increasingly being accepted for both nationally and internationally.

The electoral gains will be purely consequential to continued good performance above any form of corruption and wastage of public money which the nation suffered in the 60years of congress misrule.

By shifting Smrithi from education and bringing a soft man Modi may win election, But one thing to keep in mind Universities are becoming den for ambedkar unions. It is no more education imparting centres. Smrithi handled that well. Modi will regret for making this change

with all that talk except javedkar being given cabinet status, cabinet strength,no more effort was made to expand cabinet in expansion
Ministries were given for the sake of UP election from those Independents otherwise small parties which are not very established .of them the woman chosen even otherwise deserves by her educational background.other politicians having handled ministerial berths earlier are less known through their academic qualifications.May be their loyaty to RSS and party that is more essential to get power in hands or loose power in present day politics. It is Amit Shah as President of BJP and PM from Gujarat is higher qualification to have trust and confidence to entrust authority to handle govt job and party matters based on RSS consideration.ultimately what matters is not surprises or shocks for govt to do their job or finding their accountability to needs of people.
BJP came to power on anti establishment after continuos rule for over 10years by UPA. NDA Govt handles business is not averse to corruption except to use that as a stick to discipline loyals as well as opposition parties mainly congress.
26 months of rule is before people to judge matters of governance if we set aside election politics or strength of ruling party. This party has good numbers to take care of people need.Media perception is very high as seen in a TV interview in a channel.Narendra Modi as PM and AmitSha from BJP are not big banners in India.Theory of surprise is not tr
