Among Narendra Modis bhakts,
by piri on Feb 14, 2016 12:56 AM  | Hide replies

there is a large segment that just cannot understand why there has to be so much focus in the media about economics, economy, policies, equity, subsidy, incentive, agriculture, droughts, farm credit, banking, public education, public healthcare, PDS, rural distress......................

All they know or care about is hyndu..........muxlim..........chrittin...........hyndu.............*development* (what exactly it is is not thought about)............hyndu..........muxlim......*development*......hyndu................muxlim...

Another segment (a much smaller one) of his bhakts truly believe in their hearts that Narendra Modi caused cataclysmic changes in the Indian economy immediately after assuming power and is now well on the way already to making India a *superpower* (what exactly it means is of course not thought about). Among several feats, these bhakts also silently credit Modi for bringing down the world crude oil prices from 110 USD to just 28 USD in a span of just 19 months !

And what the silly Narendra Modi is doing now - by repudiating almost every one of the stances he took on the economy and economic policies in the first year of his PMship - is simply beyond the understanding of both these segments of bhakts !

The MNREGA as well as the National Food Security Act were paradigm changes introduced in the hitherto still feudal Indian economy by the Congress led UPA I solely at the behest and even coercion of the CPM led left front (which supported UPA I in an

uneasy and perpetually on-the-brink relationship for 4 years from 2004 to 2008).

And the left front later forced the UPA I to spread out (against fierce resistance from the latter) the scope of the MNREGA from 200 districts to all the 600 districts in the country.

Thus, by now taking U-turns on his earlier stances on the MNREGA and the National Food Security Act (which were heralded by the left front), Modi is now actually endorsing the economic policies of the left !!!

The left, besides the above named initiatives, also engineered the passing of the RTI act as well as substantial enhancement in budget allocations for the social sector during UPA I.

And it might not be long before Narendra Modi endorses these steps too (though he will of course be in no position at all to acknowledge the role of the left in them) !!

Now, what can the befuddled Modi bhakts think or say ??

Of course, the great majority among them are blissfully unaware of what changes in economic policies or direction can mean at all considering that all they know is hyndu......muxlim......hyndu.....chrittin.....hyndu.......and some distant and vague association they carry around in their minds between Modi and *development* and *superpower* !

But those few bhakts who get an inkling about Modis U-turns will be left non plussed, befuddled and beside themselves in incredulous amazement and despair !

Need to monitor politicians assets
by BHARATH BHUSHAN on Feb 02, 2016 01:04 PM

Its hard to believe he has only this limited assets and many politicians label themselves as prefect citizens and they pay taxes correctly. But hidden assets will be huge, and there is no source to expose their black money. If we see affidavits given by them during elections, it will surprise entire nation seeing their small assets but their family members life style will be complete reverse of it.
Election commission should monitor strictly the income of politicians and should make frequent raids on their houses, for this they should develop independent body, which is controlled by supreme court or president.

Modi ke andhe bhakto ko yeh point milgaya that PM has Rs 4,700 cash in hand. Cash is hand is seperate thing. BJP to answer:
1. Why is petrol still selling at Rs 68 per litre when the international barrel price is $ 33. Congress sold petrol at Rs 67 when the barrel rate was $ 110.
2. What happened to swiss bank black money, which was main agenda on election campiagn.
3. What happened to Jan lok pal bill at state level.
4. Eductaion system is completely corrupt, donation is the candy word for bribe. Middle class people taking loans to sent their kids to english medium. Please stop privitization in school.

Govt doesn't create money. The state of economy in which India was before Modi came can be only described as "Economy in ICU". If Congress sold petrol at less price where did the money come from ? It came from Tax-payer's money. The state of Railway finance was going to collapse. The forces had not enough ammunitions to fight even for a week if war broke out. Expenditure on Roads development, electricity, urban development had gone down badly. India was on the brink of going broke if the situation continued further. The oil deficit had reached alarming levels. So, was that time really better than today ?

The money collected in taxes goes for Nation building and not to PM.

To days ecopnomic growth is the result of policies wxist since a long time ,particularly post reforms period. But what should be the price of petrol or train ticket is only the decision of existing government only.Manmohan as a seasoned economist knows how the economy is shaping up whare as Modi and BJP tom toms as all positive developments are on account of them and all negetiives are on account of UPA.Some blind Bhaktas unable to see the facts.

Modi's assets

This news has no attraction. If there is no huge increase in assets like they were in respect of Congress leaders it would have been of some interest.

Modi is the only Prime Minister of India who does not know his wife's assets. There is no need for Modi to keep money in his pocket. He has free hand to use the public money to suit his luxurious life and foreign tour.
