It Feels Really Patriotic after seeing India's Defence people

I guess the Rest of us - The Civilians are so Selfish, and think about our Family, Our Caste, Our Future, Our Comfort, Our Security, Our Health, etc etc etc.

But when we see and compare with the Indian Defence Academy people, They must be Alert all the Time, Save The Nation's Pride, Territory and Honour - They work Tirelessly, they have to be in their Peak of Fitness, Age, Height Weight, Discipline, Punctuality, Ready to Fight and also to die if required.

I feel they are Doing a Magnificent Job and Politicians should ensure that India's Defence people get the Maximum in every sphere for their sacrifices to India !!

Jai Hind, Vande Mataram !!!

You are very correct by saying this. We are selfish and our politicians are more selfish than any body. We have to respect our Army

Narendra Modi came prepared !

During the last republic day ceremony, with the US president in attendance, Modi had stood erect and saluted the flag when the national anthem was played. He failed to notice that apart from President Mukherjee and himself, there was no one else among the non uniformed persons there who saluted the flag !

Matching the PM in ignorance, members of the RSS and perhaps a miĺlion or more among his followers went on a chorus on the social media to the effect that while the hyndu PM had *dutifully* saluted the flag, the muxlim vice president insulted it by just standing to attention and not saluting! This chorus went on in shrill fashion for two days before someone gently informed them that protocol laid down that the only non uniformed person who should salute the flag at the Republic day when the national anthem was played is the president !

So, quite obviously, Narendra Modi has taken a giant stride now in erudition by actually learning that he ought not to salute the flag during the national anthem on Republic day! And he displayed this new erudition by avoiding the salute today !

Dear Piri,
If you observed, both PM Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee saluted today (26th-Jan-2016) during the National anthem. What they do, is their personal choice. If people commented on something last year, it is their foolishness/Narrow mindedness. Please do not continue the chain.

Dear pragma.....What they do at the Republic day in terms of saluting the flag or any other such gesture is not their personal choice, it should be as per laid down protocol and the flag code. If you think it is their personal choice, you are being foolish and betraying your ignorance.
